Planning Your Week: 

Before starting a new week, set aside some time for a weekly planning session. During this time, you’ll outline your upcoming week so you know what’s coming up and where you have room to incorporate time for your goals and priorities. 

This year, I’ve been using the Clever Fox Planner Pro Non-Dated Weekly Planner to organize my weeks (and months) to stay on track with all of my commitments and goals. The planner I have is in rose gold, but it comes in several colors. I highly recommend this planner!

Fill in Scheduled Commitments: 

Start your weekly planning by filling in all of your scheduled commitments. This includes work meetings, doctor appointments, nail appointments, weekly date nights, meet-ups with friends, etc. 

Identify the Most Important To-Do List Items: 

Identify the most important to-do list items for the entire week. Try to limit these to 3-5 items. These items are a broad overview of the big tasks that are most crucial to accomplish for the week. They may have smaller tasks associated with them that you’ll incorporate in your daily spread, but these tasks should be the ones that you should be giving your most time and attention to for the upcoming week. 

Schedule in Time for Goals & Priorities: 

When planning your week, look for the best opportunities to make progress on your goals and devote your energy and attention to your priorities. It’s easy to say something is a priority but never work on it because you haven’t given yourself room to do so.  Planning ahead will prevent you from letting other tasks distract you from your goals and priorities.

Planning Each Day: 

Your daily planner with be the spot to go into greater detail on how you will accomplish the outline you created for the week. Use your daily planner to determine how your to-do list fits with appointments, and plan out the smaller subtasks to help you accomplish your weekly priorities.  You can also use a daily planner to make notes of health and wellness goals and habits for the day, like journaling, meal plans, and what workout you’ll do for the day.
